A perfect start to the day
Really? Shadow Canyon was stupid, steep, and rocky.
Bit frustrated with how nasty Shadow was being.
View to the south from South Boulder Peak, doesn't get much better.
One down, two to go. South Boulder Peak Summit.
Decent bit of scrambling to get up SBP, but Bear was much nastier.
Looking back at South Boulder Peak
Bear Peak, still feeling alright, but it's heating up. Green Mtn in the back.
Green Mtn, had about enough climbing for one day...
A look back at some of the day's work

Nice job on the peak bagging. Shadow canyon is pretty crazy steep...last time I did it was march I think and the bottom was muddy and the last mile was 6-12 inches of snow and crazy steep...and I was in five fingers. (Not recommended...I actually made it to bear peak after post-holing the back side ascent, with very cold feet, and thinking back now feel pretty sheepish to have done that.)
11 days.
11 Days indeed! Maybe I should start running again? Oh wait, too late for that...I may as well just really rest up now. Did 14 miles last week, maybe a good taper will be 10 this week, then 5 leading into it. OK, probably not, but it was a good thought. I felt the need to give my hip a break last week though, we'll see what it feels like this week. You feeling ready for 50?
Feeling better by the day, gathering troops for Bergen Peak tomorrow night if you're interested. ~11 miles starting at the lower lot at 7pm...
I think I would be in to that actually, where is the lower lot? I think I know, but just confirming. I sent you an email to your yahoo so you have my contact info.
